5) 결론 및 제언

본고에서 시도한 연구에서는 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용에 의한 홍익정치 실현방향 설정을 목적으로, 처음 수행한 결과에서 아주 의미가 있는 성과를 얻었다. 우선 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용에 의한 홍익정치 실현을 위한 실천방법을 고찰하였다. 지감과 조식 및 금촉과 같은 3법의 성통･공완 수행방법을 소개하였으며, 그리고 선행연구를 활용해서 재세이화의 국내 실천의무와, 지구촌적 재세이화 실천사명 등과 같이 주요 실천범위를 약술하였다. 

이 3법 수행을 성통하여야 도덕적 책임감을 자각하고 실천하는 것이 가능할 것이고, 바로 홍익인간을 실현하는 수련방법임을 설명한데 의의가 적지 않을 것이다. 이러한 성통･공완수행과 법제 준수 등의 재세이화를 실천하는 충족 전제가 확인될 때, 홍익인간의 사상에 대한 현대적 생활에서 실현 가능성이 있다고 말할 수 있다.

둘째로, 법령･제도적 결정권자가 홍익정치관련 당사자와 이해관계자 간에 개인･집단 차원을 비롯한 정치･경제･사회 등의 상대관계에서, 홍익정치상 제반과정마다 홍익인간 관점 및 가치의 지향을 추구함으로써, 인적 속성구분별 상대관계 속에서 공정하고 행복하게 잘 살도록 모두에게 이롭게 적용할 수 있는 홍익정치상 적용원칙을 모색하였다. 그리고 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용에 의한 결정원칙으로 다각적 상대관계 속의 홍익인간 관점과 경제･비경제적 가치 지향적인 홍익정치의 실행역량을 포함한 홍익정치상 결정원칙을 모색하였다.

따라서 현재 우리 내부에 정치･경제･사회･통일 등의 영역에서 여러가지 현안문제를 안고 있는 상황에 있지만, 상기 사전적 정보공유･협의･조정체계 구축과, 법령･제도와 연계된 효과 및 영향분석 활용과 같은 실행역량의 확충을 통해서 해결 가능성을 확인할 수 있다. 다시 말해 도덕적 책임감의 자각과 실천 아래 신뢰도의 향상을 비롯해서 공정성의 제고, 양극화의 해소, 질적 삶의 향상 등을 위하여, 누구에게나 각각의 몫에 비례하는 고른 배분과 행복의 기여로 치우침과 차별이 없이 모두 이익이 향유되도록 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용가능성을 열어준 의미가 있다고 하겠다.

셋째로, 홍익정치의 선결과제 및 기본방향을 바탕으로 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용에 의거한 홍익정치 실현방향과 관련한 도덕적 책임감 하에서 정치분야의 국내 현안문제에 대한 홍익정치의 전략목표 제시와 추진전략, 홍익인간 관점과 재세이화측면의 추진사항을 모색하였다. 이처럼, 홍익인간 사상의 통치이념 관점에서 현대적 적용의 가능성을 모색하고, 이에 따른 전략목표 및 추진전략 등의 홍익정치의 실현방향을 강구해 봄으로써, 앞으로 국정운영분야중 경제･사회･문화･통일 등 여러 영역에서도 확산적으로 적용 및 모색해 볼 수 있는 지평을 넓혀준 점에 학술적 기여에 커다란 의의가 있을 것이다.

본고는 비록 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용 모색에 의한 새로운 홍익정치 실현방향 설정에 관한 첫 시도에 지나지 않으며 몇몇 한계점을 안고 있다. 그렇다고 해도 세계적 석학들이 홍익인간 사상을 21세기의 핵심사상으로 주장한 바와 같이, 장래에 모두가 공정하고 행복하게 공존하면서 살아갈 수 있는 가능성을 탐구 및 시도함으로써, 홍익인간 관점 및 가치 실현관련 가능성의 지평을 넓히는 기여점이 있을 것이다.

본고의 시사점으로 첫째, 홍익인간 사상에 의한 홍익인간 실천방법의 고찰과, 홍익인간의 범주별 상대관계 이해의 반영에 따른 인간이념 관점에서의 실현 가능성을 보인 점이다. 둘째, 홍익인간 사상의 홍익정치 실현관련 관점에서 현대적 적용을 모색하고, 이를 바탕으로 한 전략목표 및 추진전략을 포함하는 설정방향의 설정 시도에 큰 의미가 있을 것이다.

머지않아 홍익인간 관점 및 재세이화 측면에서 홍익정치 실현으로 우리 사회의 공정성 제고나 양극화 해소를 비롯해 사회갈등의 완화, 도덕성 증진, 신뢰도 제고, 부패인식지수 상승, 제도경쟁력 증가, 삶의 질적 향상, 국민 행복지수 상향, 특히 자살률 대폭적 감소 등 공존하는 삶을 지향하는 시대의 가능성을 고대해 본다.

향후 홍익정치 사안에 대한 홍익인간의 관점과 재세이화 실천측면의 추진전략 연구와 정책시행방안의 수립 등에 대한 연구가 필요하다는 점을 밝혀둔다. 미래에 법령･제도 결정권자가 국민의 가슴 속 깊이 뿌리내려서 시행해 나아가기를 제안하면서, 우리 한민족과 대한민국과 인류에게 모두 이로운 홍익정치가 실현되기를 기대한다.
